Proshikkon. Adventures with Bible story-telling - in Bangladesh!! I was made aware of Proshikkon some time ago; Quite a cruel thing, to wave the hope of another B'desh trip under one's nose. *sigh* I hope by God's grace hurdles will be overcome and I can go visit our persevering brothers and sisters in beloved B'desh. Lots of prayer and thoughtful consideration to be done.
Last time things happened so quickly, it all seemed so spur of the moment, I made a huge decision on a whim (an unfortunate habit of mine!) amongst a flurry of hurried uni work, many hours labouring at a fortuidous casual Easter job, the operations on my wrists. I was terribly sick during and for a long time after, I missed my friends and my family, it was hot and sweaty and rainy and what one would generally consider to be miserable weather. But I loved every minute. It was so right. Especially meeting Jami, who was so desparately in need of encouragement and solid christian fellowship when the eight of us flooded into the guest house. She is a joy to know, and no doubt an enduring friend. It was God's work in His time for eternal purposes. I can only hope that this turns out to be another call!
To be continued...
